Hi,
I may already know the answer to this, but I'm hoping I'm wrong.
We've been testing and prepping a Raq 3. Over the weekend, we left it
powered up and live on the network (password protected) in its temporary
home to start loading data onto it. Sometime over the weekend, the office
it was in lost power. The Raq wasn't plugged into a battery backup (I
know... dumb.)
Now, when I try to boot it, the LCD display briefly says something I can't
see, followed by "loading kernel", followed by "Booting..." and furious
disk activity for about 2 minutes. It never gets to "Starting mail",
"Starting DNS" or any of the other normal boot messages. I'm assuming
something got trashed when the power went down, but what do I do? Do I
have to get a restore disk and reload the thing from scratch?
Any help (either to the list or my private email address above) greatly
appreciated.
Thanks!
Chip
