I have installed Pop-before-smtp 1.3 on a RAQ3. It seems to give the correct messages, however, even after checking mail with POP, the 'please check mail first' error is returned, and the mail cannot be sent. Does anyone know what may be causing this?
Who is your access provider? Most of them make you configure your email client to THEIR smtp. Mine's Earthlink, for instance, I can't use my own sendmail for outgoing while I'm on with them. Have to use mail.earthlink.net as my smtp configuration. They do it by blocking the email port: Port 25.
Pop before smtp only protects the sendmail on your Raq by the way. Hope that helps Alfredo -- People-Link/Institute for Mass Communications www.people-link.org Communications for a Better World...and for the People Who are Building One! Members, Local 1180, Communications Workers of America, AFL-CIO
