Hi guys, i'm a newbie of a raq4, and this post is one of the hundreds
similar already found on the list..

my problem is the following:
I want to use my new RAQ4 as primary and seconday DNS server.
I've been reading hundreds of text ..each one different, so now i would like
to have a definitive and correct answer.

this what i've set-up till now:

My raq 4 server name is e-visus.com, and it has is dedicated ip Number gave
by my host.
(i've also more ip's number so i'll use one of them to create the secondary
name server.)

things i've done start as follow:

the first record in my site managment is ns1.e-visus.com, with RAQ4 default
ip address
After, i've created a new virtualsite named by: ns2.e-visus.com and gave to
it one of my additional ip addresses.

After i've registered with NETWORKSOLUTION my NS1 and NS2 hosts names.

so now, i went to the dns parameters, and here may be starts the problem..

i've created one (a) record for ns1 and it's reverse
i've created one (a) record for ns2 and it's reverse.

my questions are:

-i have red somewhere that i need to create only one (a) record and after
for ns2 i must use the Seconday name service for domain from the "add" menu,
is it rigth?

-if the things i've done are correct, i would like to know, where to create
my Website, i mean: e-visus.com is my company, so i have to create it's own
Website, do i have to create a new virtualsite site as www.e-visus.com to do
it, or can i use my ns1.e-visus.com?

-what i have to do with SOA? am i obliged to set it ? (somewhere i red that
i have to do it and somewhere i've read that it doesn't care)

-if i have to create a third virtual site for my company www.e-visus.com, so
i can't use NS1, do i have to point it to a new ip address or can i use the
IP address of the NS?

-why when i create a reverse on a (a) record the reverse one appears on THE
SELECT DOMAIN OR NETWORK LIST? IN DNS PARAMETERS? and why if i choose it on
the next screen it gives me also a SOA different from the main? do i have
also to setup that one? or only the main one cares?

sorry guys for the so long post, but i'm getting crazy, and also, i've been
reading about 5 different ways to set the machine as dns server etc.
