Subject: [cobalt-users] DNS error on domains without www

I've set up Name records for the domains with the www (i.e.
www.deer-calls.com) and withouth the www (deer-calls.com). I saved the
changes to the DNS. Now, when I type www.deer-calls.com it goes to the
correct page (a redirect page) but when I type it without the www it goes
to my admin.rainstormconsulting.com domain (my primary nameserver).

Have you made sure the web server is pointing the deer-calls.com domain to the www.deer-calls.com site?

See, Brain, this isn't a dns problem. DNS will only point the domain to a specific IP address, then Apache takes over and identifies the site directory where you want to go. Here's how to make Apache do this with the GUI:

Go to the site management screen for www.deer-calls.com domain and click on "site settings" and then put a check-mark next to "web access by domain". This way the www site will answer for that domain and you'll get what you want.
