[cobalt-users] Questions re (a) RAID-1 (b) OS upgrades

I am just getting to installing a Raq 3 that's been waiting for my 
attention for several months.  I've got a couple questions that I'm hoping 
some here can help with.


(a) Before sending it off to its colo home, I want to do all of the OS and 
security upgrades.  Should I just install all of the ones on the Cobalt 
website (oldest to newest), or are there certain ones that have problems 
and shouldn't be installed?  Tried to find this info in the knowledge base, 
but no luck.

(b) Does anyone have experience installing the ArcoIDE RAID-1 controller in 
a Raq?  This is a no-slot, hardware-only solution that is reported to work 
well with Linux that basically mirrors info on the primary drive to the 
slave, then fails over to the slave if the primary fails.  I figure this is 
a much better solution than having my only server (at present) have a drive 
crash when the colo site is hours from me :)  I'm planning to try 
installing it, but would appreciate hearing from anyone that's tried 
(successfully or otherwise) to make this work.
