Hmmmmm... let's think about this...

Your telnet daemon is trying to find out who your IP# points to. It's
using the DNS set up in the gui as the primary and secondary DNS for
your RaQ. Are these pointing to your own RaQ, or somewhere else?

If they're pointing toward your RaQ and you can't change them, you're in
trouble. If they're pointing somewhere else, and if your whois record
points to other systems besides your RaQ as primary and secondary DNS,
then you should be able to get it to work by pointing your RaQ primary
and secondary servers to any other working nameserver in the world (use
mine if you want, see my whois).

If they're pointing somewhere else but your whois points to your RaQ
you're almost in as much trouble... you have to change the primary
nameserver at your registrar to show another, which will host your DNS
at least temporarily, until you fix the problem. I'll be happy to host
it for you as a favor until the end of the month. That should give you
enough time to fix the problem.

However, if neither of these scenarios is true, but the first one is
(they're pointing toward your RaQ and you can't change them) then you've
got to try things... have you tried rebooting your RaQ? Have you gone
in person (or used a remote hands service) to log into the RaQ through a
serial port? so you could look around?

We're in Southern California; if you need remote hands here, let me
know.
