Re: [cobalt-users] DNS Problem? Admin, Email , Websites not accessible.

Hi Jeff

Many Thanks for your Reply

The RaQs now are working OK, but the is a problem
with the Uptime, as I said the RaQs going Down Randomly
and I can't PING them.

The Net.Admin of our provider Claims that, the PING is been generated
from the DNS Servers
and you can't PING them because you running your own Primary & Secondary
DNS servers
and you haven't Setup properly the DNS records and Revers Lookups.

Is this true ?
Because when the RaQs are Up and Running Everything it works Fine
and I can PING them.
The Problem is his Network , his Firewall setup, or the RaQs?
Or you thing his taking us for a ride.

Have a Look this Email :

( ........Yes they are on the same network, but they do not share the
same DNS server,
which is where the PING is generated from.

We are not responsible for the configuration and/or maintaining of you
equipment or DNS records.

It seems to me that you have problems with your DNS records.

Your servers are powered via a UPS, which gives a stable, regulated and
filtered power output. Our records do not show any power or network
problems
over the last few weeks.

My only suggestion would be to re-check your DNS configuration, and
reverse
lookups.

regards

Nick ...........)

Dose he know what his talking about

Cheers
