Thats ok, I'm a simple hick from the back woods of Warwickshire (that be
England zor). I know my place!

Quite so.. however most folks that ask questions like the above (which is
not an issue I might add) are extremely unlikely to be using the FTP clients
that you mention and are most likley to be using WSFTP or similar... no?
Which is why I put the answer in the way I did.

Now you are scaring me... "command line FTP" - is that in the Mac OS ?  :))
