I am fairly certain that any professional or industrial quality FTP client
should support the viewing of '.' files.  I am not sure if WSFTP is included
in that category--they have gone downhill quite a bit from back in the day.

If you need a Win32 FTP client, I think CuteFTP has that as an option--but
also CuteFTP has gone downhill.

I know for a fact that you can 'view' those files in Fetch for Macintosh.

Sure, you can get command line FTP clients for the Macintosh.  I think there
is an ncFTP port, if nothing else.  GNU should have a version as well.

But essentially if your FTP program can't view/download/upload/whatever
files beginning with a '.' then it is time to find a new FTP client--it
doesn't meet a basic requirement.
