Re: [cobalt-users] DNS Opinion

This response has taken a long time; these days I'm too busy to read
this list every day <frown>....

Nor is it necessary.

After years of soul-searching, we've decided to become an openSRS
reseller, and we'll be offering domain registration packages with or
without our DNS-hosting services, later this year.

We offer both complete (primary and secondary) DNS hosting and secondary
DNS hosting, at significantly lower prices.

Absolutely. You and your customers would be best served by you hosting
your own primary DNS (at ns1.yourdomain.com) on your RaQ, and having
someone else host your secondary DNS (at ns2.yourdomain.com). You can
do this either by making trade arrangements with another RaQ owner
(found from this list?), or by buying a commercial service for secondary
only from us or from another vendor.

Our services are provided through a domain we've set up specifically for
DNS hosting; ns-one.net. If you use us you can either use our
nameserver names (ns1.ns-one.net, etc.) or your own domain name
(ns2.yourdomain.com).
