[cobalt-users] Pop lock files - Continued RaQ2

Hi,

I've been testing again, realizing this may or may not be a valid test, but 
the locking problem does not occur IF, while I'm using the GUI, no one 
tries to POP the server.

Could it be that the server is locking the files its writing to when I 
change something in the GUI and if someone is POPing for mail at that 
moment, things freeze and get stuck?

So my question is still this...what service is getting stuck and how can I 
restart that service without rebooting the whole server?

side question: If I "uncheck" the box beside e-mail service in the control 
panel...save changes...recheck that button, save changes again, will all 
server settings for relaying and vhosts on the box be lost? If settings are 
not lost, would this be the best way for me, the relative newbie, restart 
sendmail and or qpopper? *smile...not afraid of the command line 
here...just mostly curious.
