I am intrigued by this, as I have had Qubes with uptimes of close to six
months. I had one that was a development server and NAT box on my home
network and never expereienced any such problems.

The repeated problems that you had make me wonder if it had something to do
with how you were implementing the machines? Were you doing anything
'special' or were you just taking it right out of the box and installing it
using plain vanilla configurations?

What were the bugs that you found in Samba?

I am just curious because I have never heard of such problems before.
