Re: [cobalt-users] Qube2 - DHCP Cable Modem

Hello,
is possible for the Qube2 to pick up an IP address from a DHCP
server via a cable modem which is connected to the secondary interface
connection on the back of the Qube2?

Switch the cable
Put the internet on the primary port (this one does DHCP).
Put the lan in the secondary port and switch the IP addresses.

That should have taken care of the problem.
NAT and things like that *should* work automatically when connected.

The Primary interface is already connected to my internal LAN through a hub
which is working well.

Uhm you will have to set it up on the secondary port then ;-)

If so what do I need to do to set this up and what should I enter in the
GATEWAY field at the "Network Webmin" if I want to use the secondary
interface as my internet gateway?

Don't you would be fighting against scripts all over the place.
Don't do it. I don't think it's worth it.

The secondary interface can only be given a static IP.
