Might already be one, how about SCO Xenix? I don't remember how far
back they go in support; I remember running it on a '386.
Microsoft used to sell MS-Xenix for the TRS-80 Model II, running a Z-80.
A friend of mine had one.

Exactly. I'm looking at renting out low-end system in the us$100/month
range with 2 or 3 gigs of bandwidth.

I bought a "book" PC in Pomona on Sunday. $445 including tax,
Celeron533, 64 MB, Sound, Video, 10G hard drive. 10.5" wide, 12" deep,
2.5" high. I'm going to try it with NetMax, with Linux 6.2, and with
FreeBSD. It'll take a few weeks, but I'll keep everyone posted.

As I think I've mentioned to you previously, I NEVER take anything or
anyone personally. Sometimes, unfortunately, not even those whom I
SHOULD.
That said, though, we ALL (including me) need to be a bit more able to
respect that one man's meat may well be another's poison. The man
reason you and I are corresponding civilly on this thread is most likely
that we're saying things of interest to each other. And that's good. I
certainly don't want an "OFF-TOPIC" flame from someone who's not
interested, though. That's what respect means, I think.
