[cobalt-users] DNS Questions

Hi, I wonder if someone can answer these questions for me. I have a RaQ3;
the DNS server is running and working as it should, and I'm afraid to
"experiment" on it, so any help is appreciated.

1) According to the manual, the primary name server defaults to the host
name of the RaQ3. I renamed my server to ns1.mydomain.com via Control Panel
> Network; was it necessary to do this? If I change the host name back to
www.mydomain.com will it mess up the DNS function?
2) In Control Panel > DNS > Parameters I created a "Secondary Name Service
For Domain" called ns2.mydomain.com, and assigned it one of my free IP
address. It's my understanding that any records I add to the primary DNS are
automatically added to the secondary DNS, is this correct?
3) From the Site Management screen, I added a virtual site called
ns2.mydomain.com with the same IP address I used for the secondary DNS. Was
it mandatory to create this virtual site for the secondary DNS to function?
