Agreed, if :) people leave them alone ... but they don't always do that. Som people took the PostgreSQL server on the RaQ3 and tried to use it for various custom applications ... and on occasion would do such fun things as accidentally dropping all of the tables, etc. Not a show-stopper, but it does require a call to Cobalt support to run a script to repopulate the tables.

Unfortunately, I took a look at the RaQ4's Chili!Soft ASP admin server and while I found a driver for quite a few databases, I didn't see one for Interbase.

Anyway, my point was basically just that Interbase is an add-on ... you can take it instead of the PostgreSQL install and thereby not ever worry about dropping the Postgres tables ... or you can leave them both alone. But Cobalt didn't forsake the Postgres database like the beginning of this thread made it sound.
