Ok,

I am going to a couple questions that will probably make me look stupid. I
come from the NT world so I am not yet familiar with all the terminology and
programs associated with Linux/Unix.

1. What is an rpm file? People talk about getting the binaries also. IS this
the binary file or is the source code file? Do you need a separate program
to compile the source code files into binaries? I realize this is really
off-topic for Cobalts, but it's related to file I will need to be handling.

2. What is Qpopper? I am familiar with what pop-before-smtp is, just not
what qpopper is.

3. On the pop-before-smtp is there anything you have to set on a clients
machine? For instance, I know that normally Outlook Express sends mail
before checking mail. Will the client have to actually click send and
receive twice to POP first? Or is only the newer versions of the clients
going to have the option to POP first?

A new version of POP--before-SMTP is available.  This version
addresses the logging changes in the new version of Qpopper.
A special thanks goes out to Michael Zimmermann for writing
a diff to our current version.

This version does NOT contain the qpopper-3.0.2 rpm, but it
dependent upon it being installed on the system.  If you have
not installed the qpopper this version will not install.  If you
have chosen to wait for the official release of the qpopper update,
a note upon release will mention that this newer version is available.

If you have any comments or problems with this version of
POP-before-SMTP, please notify Jeff Lovell <jlovell@xxxxxxxxxx>.
