If I recall correctly, you indicated you were using your DSL
connection to provide email services. Since DSL is not
asynchronous, a large stream of outgoing messages might very
well have locked out your incoming mail stream.

I've had sendmail stop out-of-the-blue on a RaQ2 on more than
one occasion, and apparently this is due to a known bug with
sendmail that Cobalt is aware of (and presumably working on a
fix). Whether this also applies to the RaQ3 I cannot say...
