Using the instructions provided by Donald Saltarelli (and a slightly different set
sent by another person off-list), I was able to install PHP4.0pl2 on a RaQ3 as a DSO
without touching Apache. For those of you who are Linux newbies and take
instructions 100% at face value, I should point out that:
1. I used httpd restart, not httpd reload (maybe that works too, I've never tried it
nor opened that file to see if that option is an alias for restart)
2. I copied php.ini-dist to /etc/httpd/conf/php.ini instead of the location he
provided
I'm pretty sure Donald posted most of the instructions from memory so he shouldn't be
faulted. He obviously knows his stuff.
I'd still like to upgrade a RaQ3 to Apache 1.3.12 and if I have the time I'll
experiment until I get it right and post instructions on list, but I might never have
the time <frown>.
