I've done a ton of MySQL and PHP installs and Apache compiles, but i wanted to
install PHP as a module instead of as a DSO so I needed to recompile Apache and I
figured I might as well make it 1.3.12. Looks like that's going to be difficult to
impossible on the RaQ3 (not so on the RaQ2) so I'm going to take your suggestion and
go the DSO route. Thanks for the instructions. They are greatly appreciated. I
received feedback from a couple of other users off-list so I'm going to compare the
instructions and proceed with the install this evening. I'll post again to let
everyone know that it worked. FYI, for those following my related thread about the
RaQ3 with a non-responsive telnet and web-based GUI, as I expected it turned out it
was unrelated to this install. The server had to be physically rebooted and it is
now running smoothly.
