RE: [cobalt-users] Veritas Backup exec

I was mistaken, I have version 8, not 7.

I thought that 8 could use the UNIX agent.

The Single Server edition will only allow you to backup the NT machine that
the software is installed on, plus any Win95/98 clients that might connect
to it. In order to backup additional NT servers and UNIX/Linux systems, you
will need to Enterprise edition that allows multiple servers.

Veritas does have an upgrade path from the Single Server edition to the
Enterprise version. This was the path that I had to take after the Linux
client was released.
