The real value to having web based e-mail right through the user GUI
would be for novice users, such as many of our clients, who need to check
their e-mail from other computers when traveling. I've found that many
clients have trouble setting up POP accounts with a mail client, and I often
have to walk them through the process multiple times. With Web based e-mail
in the GUI, they could administer their account and check their e-mail from
anywhere without having to reconfigure the mail client each time.
Hopefully someday Cobalt will add it.
