He makes a good point here. There are a ton of newbies on this list (me
included). Not everyone knows the proper etiquette for posting to a list.
Some of them probably don't understand the "lurk first, post later" idea. I
think it would be of great benefit to the list in general if the web page
where you sign up made "the rules" a little more clear and possibly if the
footer at the bottom of these emails had a link to the rules, too. It's
harsh to punish someone for violating something they weren't aware of.

I'm guessing whoever the list admin is monitors the traffic, so what do you
say? Can something be done to help alleviate this problem?
