I got this error. I don't know what the right way to fix it is, but I solved it by telnetting in and creating the .htaccess file from the command line. Probably doesn't do you much good for a customer, though. I think the problem is that the Raq3, for all it's elegance and simplicity, has an unacceptable number of bugs (or, in Microsoft parlance, "undocumented features")....     ;^)

We have a Raq3i with Frontpage extention. When our customers use Frontpage to add password protection to their site they get the following message
 
     " server error: Cannot open" home/sites/site4/web/.htaccess": no such file or folder.
 
Does anybody else have a problem with this, and can it be fixed?
