[cobalt-users] PHP on a RaQ3...
I am currently working on a RaQ3 (which is new to me). It is running Linux
2.2 and we are also running apache web server on it.
The problem lies here... I have installed php3 and MySql (using
rpms)... I, according to Cobalt, installed the MySql first, along with the
freetypes, and gds, MySql client & dev, mod-php, php-manual, and php-mysql
(everything according to Cobalt). All the installations went well, and
seemed to go where they were supposed to go.
This is pretty much where it ends... I didn't attempt to install php as a
loadable module of apache nor restart the apache server at this time. Do I
have to??? I was under the impression it didn't necessarily have to be
done this way.
Also, according to all the documentation I have, some of the paths and
directories I am expecting to be on my RaQ are not here (ex.
/usr/local/apache/htdocs), nor in the locations they are supposed to
be... Is this due to having the apache server installed on a RaQ??? Which
leads me to question whether or not having apache installed in this
environment, with virtual sites, is different as opposed to having it
installed on a traditional unix box.
So this is where I sit at the moment. I feel like I have hit a wall with
this. If anyone has an solutions or ideas I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks in advance...
