[cobalt-users] Majordomo Q

I'm having a terrible time with majordomo.. I can not get it to create a
list at all. It adds the list addresses to the virtualusertable, then I get
a script error in the browser.

>/usr/local/majordomo/config_parse.pl is the file for the defaults, when it

I looked at this file and never saw a .pl that started like this:

'di';
'ig00';
# A file to parse a majordomo mailing list config file

is this correct as it stands??

Next I figured I'd go RTFM and did a locate majordomo and saw:
/etc/locks/whatsnew.majordomo
/etc/locks/george.majordomo
/etc/locks/newlist.majordomo
/etc/locks/butynews.majordomo

Now this I know can't be a good thing :) There are a few other files in
there also:
-rw-r--r--   1 root     root            7 May 25 10:22 butynews.majordomo
-rw-r--r--   1 root     root           73 Apr 17 13:10 george.majordomo
-rw-r--r--   1 root     root            0 Mar 24 08:42 monitor
-rw-r--r--   1 root     root            7 May 22 22:29 newlist.majordomo
-rw-r--r--   1 root     root            0 May 22 22:27 whatsnew.config
-rw-r--r--   1 root     root            7 May 22 22:28 whatsnew.majordomo

Whats up with all that?? Especially the monitor one.. That March 24th date
bothers me like crazy, thats the date I had an email loop happen on one of
my vacation responses and woke to 15,000 mails coming in at 1 per second..

There are 33 domains on the box and only 21 show in the
/usr/local/majordomo  directory.. in /usr/local/majordomo/lists I show 24
sites + home and site-admin so thats not right either..

I really have a need for majordomo very shortly and need to resolve this..
any suggestions which direction I need to travel??
