The RaQs (at least the 2 and 3) do autoincrement.

Some DNS servers, especially at some of the large ISPs, appear to
completely ignore TTL.  For example,  aol (which strictly speaking,
isn't an ISP anyway <grin>).

And many mail-servers cache DNS based on their own time-frames, in
complete ignorance of TTL, and don't even bother to look for a new DNS
record until after their own cache-time has expired.
