We produce exactly this type of product ourselves with the features you
mention. It was developed on the RaQ1/2 and RaQ3 environments. As with any
CGI scripting product, the largest factor to consider is usually the amount
of physical RAM you have available. Generally speaking, the more memory you
have, the greater the number of concurrent CGI processes can run before
affecting performance of the server. So the more memory you can afford to
place in the server, the better.
We've not had reports of performance issues with our product and it can
certainly handle the number of users you're talking about. If you're
