Hello. We are new users to the RaQ 3, and are having trouble "seeing"
the RaQ 3 from our other computers on our Windows NT network. Since
hooking up to the network, we see a new workgroup in Network Neighborhood called
"Workgroup", but can not see anything under that. Here is the steps we
have followed.
1. Via Telnet, we have created the following file:
;test BEGIN
[viserver] path = /usr/graphics/ public = no browseable = yes writable = yes create mask = 0775 valid users = admin veto users = admin veto files = /.*/ ;test END 2. After that, we started the Samba service with the command
"/etc/rc.d/init.d/smb start". That seemed to work.
3. Rebooted the RaQ 3
"viserver" is what we named the RaQ 3 under the Cobalt control panel -
network - server name setting.
"/usr/graphics/" is the path we hope to be able to see with the rest of the
network.
We can telnet to the RaQ 3, as well as see our website under the "webs
folder" in Microsoft Explorer, so we know the network connection is ok. After
doing the above, the new "Workgroup" icon appeared in Windows Explorer, but we
can not access anything beyond that. When we try we get the following
message in Windows:
Error: Workgroup is not accessable - Network path was not found
Any help would be appreciated!!
