Re: [cobalt-users] DNS help

You must have at least one site set to the same IP# you're using for the
name-server. It does NOT have to be the same name as the name-server.

I personally would NOT create a site for the name-server unless I wanted
a website for it; why waste the resources? I'd use it for a different
domain's website.

But be sure to never delete that website; if you do the system will no
longer answer for that IP#, and you'll lose your DNS.

BTW, you've already said you want to use a different IP address and I
don't want to dissuade you. But there's no reason why you can't use the
same IP#.

Even if 111.222.111.222 is, for example, "www.domain1.com", your
nameserver, "ns1.otherdomain.com" can still use 111.222.111.222.
