[cobalt-users] MX record leaving out primary ns address

G'day All,

I am running DNS service on my RaQ3, and have a question about MX records. I
haven't bought DNS & Bind yet, so I thought I'd ask here.

If I do an nslookup from my workstation to the RaQ, the MX record looks like
this:

d:\>nslookup -q=mx thackernet.com ns1.thackernet.com
Server: www.thackernet.com
Address: 207.167.12.7

thackernet.com MX preference = 30, mail exchanger = mail.thackernet.com
thackernet.com nameserver = ns1.thackernet.com
thackernet.com nameserver = ns2.thackernet.com
mail.thackernet.com internet address = 207.167.12.7
ns2.thackernet.com internet address = 207.167.8.192

Notice that the address for ns1.thackernet.com is not displayed. Now, if I do
an nslookup on another domain I currently host via 9netave, the mx record
looks like this:

d:\>nslookup -q=mx agritrend.com ns1.thackernet.com
Server: www.thackernet.com
Address: 207.167.12.7

Non-authoritative answer:
agritrend.com MX preference = 10, mail exchanger = mail.9netave.com

agritrend.com nameserver = NS2.9netave.com
agritrend.com nameserver = NS3.9netave.com
mail.9netave.com internet address = 216.156.2.60
NS2.9netave.com internet address = 216.156.2.2
NS3.9netave.com internet address = 216.156.2.3

Notice both nameservers are listed in the bottom section with their IPs.

Am I forgetting something on my DNS setup on the RaQ? Does this matter at
all? I have not had any mail or other problems on the RaQ hosted domains, but
was curious why it does not display the NS1 address.

Thanks,
