As far as I'm concerned, the archives should stay intact; we don't remove,
edit, alter, or add posts.
Changing the footer of an email may be a good idea in terms of pointing it to
the new list. In any case, on the bottom of any archive page on the new list,
there is a link called "More information about the {listname} mailing list"
which sends one directly to the subscribe/information page. Possibly we don't
need to alter anything.

Many people have subscribed to the new lists; I hope this great community
lives on. I'll strive to run the lists in the same fashion that they are ran
now, but if Bruce feels differently, then it's his call. Remember, the lists
are intended to be direct replacements for these current lists.
There's been suggestions of advertising or bias; there is absolutely no way
this is going to happen. The lists are for the community, by the community.
