I second the mail of Steve ! Perhaps we should make some sort of default
petition every one can cut and paste. (The text of the above mail has some
very strong arguments.)
Steve: if you want and have some time perhaps we can work together to create
a standard petition. So the users who have not very good english speaking and
writing skill can also participate.

I have the feeling that this can be the key to keep the list in its old form
in the air.
