I believe that in order to be competitive in webhosting today what's
important isn't only what you can handle, but what your clients can
handle as well. My feeling is that to compete today we need to offer a
client-facing management system.

I've chosen to go with DirectAdmin (http://www.directadmin.com/) for my
future web hosting projects, because I like the client-facing system,
and the fact that they include a complete customer-facing help-site.

We've already put together a few of their systems, and they're easy to
set up and easy to use.

And extremely easy to keep current as well.

As far as the underlying OS is concerned, today I'm still building and
supporting RHL 7.3 (and keeping it up-to-date and secure as well), but
for the future I'm seriously considering FreeBSD.

(And for Zeffie's benefit, no, I don't sell the product. I do support
it of course <smile>, and offer it in our data center, but I don't sell
it.)
