Hello

I have a client that is getting an error when sending an email with an
attachment, she can send regular email without issue without an attachment.

She has no problem receiving email.

The error she is getting is;

"the socket was disconnected unexpectedly"

They use our server for SMTP, they are using Goldmine ver 5.5 to manage
their email.

Goldmine is a strange and interesting application; I've certainly seen it do wierd stuff before (I'm the lead developer at my work on a project that competes with it, so maybe I'm biased)...

Are they behind NAT? Try connecting a machine with Goldmine up to the Internet directly, and sending. There's various things that can make some poorly written mailers choke...
