The main goals are to get an email server on-site and a firewall.
I need to administer our email instead of going through my ISP.
Secondary to that is web hosting. Our internet site is not really
at issue and I will probably leave that at the ISP so that I don't
have to worry too much about inbound connections, but our intranet
is growing and I would want to put that on the Qube. I would also
be very interested in any comments on the capability of the firewall.
As I said, I would prefer to severely restrict inbound connections
and am looking at a separate RAS device like the 3Com RAS 1500 even
though that would add to the system maintenance. I need dial-in
(for employees) and dial-out (to clients) connections which the 3Com
would support. The dial-in could be done over the internet, but any
incoming internet access makes me nervous.
Thanks for the replies.
