RE: [cobalt-users] slow RaQ2

Thanks for the response, Rich.

My concern is the fact that the RaQ2 is incredibly slow compared to the
Linux server I was on before. I have two choices... either go to the RaQ3,
or build a Redhat Linux box. Is the RaQ3 comparable in speed to a regular
Redhat Linux box, or will it still be slower? What about FastCGI or
Mod_perl? Is this something I should consider on the RaQ3?

I appreciate any insight. So far, I'm rather disenchanted with Cobalt.

Hi,
Having both a raq2 and a raq3, I can tell you that the raq3 runs scripts
much, much faster. Cobalts specs for the raq2 are 10 million page views per
day, the raq3 is 35 million page views. (Anyone know what Cobalt considers a
page view?)

To get better performance from the raq2 usually means adding more RAM.
