[cobalt-users] Installing PHP4 on a RaQ2

Hm...thanks for the suggestions, however there seems to be some problem with
installing the source code.

http://www.cobalt.com/support/kb/search.php3?ques=srpm&qid=563&language=1 is
a little out of date, but the general information is good..it says to first
get the RPM, then rpm -l apache-1.3.3-1C7.src.rpm, then rpm -bp
apache-1.3.3-1C7.src.rpm

rpm -l didn't work, so I substituted with rpm -i, and rpm -bp returned:

File contains non-printable characters(í): /root/apache-1.3.3-1C7.src.rpm

Anyone have any ideas? After this occurs, the source is supposed to be
deposited into /usr/src/redhat/BUILD, right? It's empty :(

Thanks,

Eric

Original Message:

either download the apache source form the cobaltnet.com ftp server (it's
under products/raq2 I think.

Or alternatively do what I did and download the apache source and patch it
with the cobalt code (also on the ftp) and then compile php into it.
I'm running php 3.0.15 with apache 1.3.11.
Apache 1.3.12 didn't work, I think something has been commented out in the
code...it wouldn't accept trackvars in php.
