Jeff, I know you do not do Qube2, but I noticed you use www as a hostname in
the above example. Is that a recommended hostname or just something you used
for an example?
I recommend www. I don't remember if cobalt does or not, but if I do it
that way, people can type in "www.nobaloney.net" to find my site, and
that's kind of standard; isn't it <smile>? If I used "joe" as my hostname,
people would have to type in "joe.nobaloney.net"; how many people would do
THAT intuitively <smile>.
I am still trying to figure out the receipt of address sent
to a none existing user. It has been suggested that the address be set as
@www.domain.com - maybe I missed a point with this suggestion. Does this
imply that the hostname must be www for this to work?
Yes. Perhaps all of us who've replied should have replied
"@<hostname>.domain.com"; that might have made it more clear.
Please do not give, sell, or otherwise distribute our address
information to any other organization or entity.
I don't have to. You've posted it to a mailing list that gets archived on
the web. Lots of spammers use "crawlers" and "spiders" to get
names/addresses off the web. So you've already done it <frown>.
