[cobalt-users] Installing Webalizer on RaQ3

After reading through this lists archive for information on web log
statistics programs, and visiting the web sites of related to these
programs, I have decided to give Webalizer a try.

DNS Telecom has a package for installing Webalizer, but it does not appear
to support the RaQ 3.

I assume that the best way to install Webalizer on the RaQ 3 is from
sources. I would appreciate any input from those of you have done this
regarding any pointers or problems. I have never installed Webalizer on any
platform.

One point of specific question: I assume that I must also install the GDP
Graphics Library. Additionally, I got the impression that some of the newer
verions of GDP will not work due to GIF patent troubles. If true, what is
the work arounds.

BTW, I am interested in the Current Stable Version of Webalizer 1.30-04.
(And _not_ the just announced BETA 2.00-06)
