So maybe my fears were justified.. this is what I was afraid might happen
and I've been putting this off for this reason..

Yes.. I have A records to www.beautytech.com and beautytech.com

Well the problem as I see it lies with the original verisign cert.. I was
not required to use nor did it default to www.beautytech on the shared .. I
just never used it.. not in advertising not, in absolute call to scripts,
nowhere..

The RaQ's default to www.domain.com no matter what you type in the
browser.. Call my site https and you get a warning.. in MSIE it looks for 3
matching factors, date, name and trusted authority.. I get 2 stars here..
date and trusted authority.. the name.. it says.. does not match, do you
want to proceed? Asking then to view the cert, it says beautytech.com NOT
www.beautytech.com which Verisign says is a "completely different site"
(which I say is plain BS)

now.. I argued till I was blue in the face with them.. but they still
wanted another $250 to reissue

My plan was to get the Thawte, install that, dumping the verisign for the
time being till it came up for renewal.. then renew it with
www.beautytech.com and put it back.. I just renewed the verisign in Nov.

Is this plan flawed???
