On this note of SSL's.. I currently have a valid Verisign cert, but the
name does not match.. (beautytech.com ->needs to be www.beautytech.com) I
want to go get a Thawte cert for the interim till the Verisign come up for
renewal.. I know how to do this .. read the docs and the KB etc.. but I'm a
bit leery that when I generate a new  self-sign certificate that my current
semi valid Verisign one will go by the way side.. I'm sure my fears are
foundless.. that generating the request will not touch the current valid..
but can some one just pat me on the back and assure me here??
