Having made a few minor posts to the list, I realize that I may have
blundered into the Netiquette Mouthtrap.
So, would you kindly post in simple terms, the correct form for answering a
question posed here.
I'm pretty certain of a few, so I'll use them as a starting point.
1. Before you post a new question, search the archives.
Many of the most valued contributors to this list post great answers, and
you'll find them in the Archives.
Go to the link at the bottom of this item to visit the archives. (You can
search them!)
2. Post in Plain Text, Not in HTML
Because not every email reader supports html.
3. If you have a new question, Make the subject relative.
eg. 'Please Help' doesn't give a clue of the area of need.
but 'Unable to Logon RAQ1 as admin' is the better form.
when I get the latest postings, I scan
the list of subjects to see if something is of interest (Often)
or if there's something that I can help with (Rarely)
And if I see an 'unhelpful' Subject, I breeze past it.
I'm guessing that others do too. So make the subject Relative.
