I've heard some good comments on the Danise shopping cart,

Miva is an excellent product in spite of problems with documentation and
with support. It's extremely easy for users to set up rather complex sites
with it. And it opens up a wealth of opportunities for consulting (which
after all, is how I make most of my living <grin>). Frankly, I really like
it in spite of it's problems. It took our webmaster (when I was at Jatek)
only about an hour to learn how to set up a really nice site with it.
Cobalt
is apparently releasing an e-commerce RaQ3i using the
Intershop engine, which sounds interesting (albeit a tad
pricy, est <$8,000 USD).
It'll cost you over us$6000 to start as a Miva-equipped ISP, and there are
a lot of restrictions. Or you can buy the licenses one at a time, at over
us$400 per customer.
Good eCommerce systems, unlike good operating systems <smile>, aren't cheap.
