I just noticed that in the FP extensions they are running a .exe file.
Many of us have noticed that at one time or another <smile>.
Now is that a true windows binary
No true windows binary will run on Mips linux. Just won't happen. The
machine code is quite different.
or has it been formated to run on
linux with just keeping the .exe extension for looks?
It's a linux file. It has an ".exe" extension because that's how Microsoft
names programs <wry grin>.
The reason being is if that is a "windows" binary can I use what ever FP
is using to execute that exe file to execute another exe file not
associated with FP?
On a RaQ or RaQ2 the anser is "Nope" <smile>. On a RaQ3 the short answer
is still "Nope" but the long answer is that using "Wine" you could
conceivably run a Windows binary that doesn't have ANY windows calls in it,
or you could run an X-server on your RaQ3, and then run some Windows
binaries that do have some windows calls.
