I wouldn't disable it completely....it seems to improve security a bit (even
if it is
a tiny bit -- every little bit helps...)   I am running quite a few
commercially and privately developed perl scripts with no problems on my
RaQ3.   The biggest problem is ensuring
that the path names to all of the system files are correct and that the
permissions
on the cgi script, its directories, and files are set correclty with chmod.
Go through the script and make sure that paths to sendmail, etc... are
proper by comparing the path to the output of whereis.

I do have formmail.cgi running on my RaQ, I would be willing to send it to
you if you like...
