These Netfinity boxes are OEM manufactured by Network Engines, and I've had
the opportunity to see them operate in a heavy load environment third hand,
and have also had a demo unit.
They're ready to make some improvments to them, moving the SCSI on board to
free up a slot. The design is solid, and as far as I can tell they run
well. I think the price difference is worth it for dual PIII's and slot
availability, not to mention that I can run whatever OS I choose on them.
One caveat, they are 1U, but are deeper.

Hello
I was looking over my ISP's web sie and came accross a paragraph that
pointed out to watch out for IBM's 1U server which will have the ability to
run redhat linux or NT. Before I run off to the shops and cross examine the
local computer shop owner I wondered if any one knew more about this
development and the consequences on Cobalts' Monopoly<?> in this area?
Cheers
Jonathan Alstead
