[cobalt-users] Leased line connection

We are looking at the Cube to act as our email server for both
internal and internet access.
We will be able to use a leased line connected to sister company
(via a couple of routers) that are connected to a leased line.
This connection is permanently *on* and thus the cube will have
to be listening at all times otherwise any incoming email from the
internet will not find it and get picked up by the other companies
server (an ms exchange server), which bounces it back as unknown.
The Cube manuals say this is the case but could someone confirm
this ? We have tried Intels Email Station which will send but not
receive as - despite Intels Web saying otherwise - it will not work
with permanent connections but needs to connect as fixed time
periods.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
