[cobalt-users] MySQL install errors

After about 20 hours, not counting reading all the tutorials and documentation I could
get my hands on, I am 1 strp away from quitting.

HELP!!

I installed Mysql and all seemed well.  After receiving the security warning I -e all
the rpm and reinstalled with the patch.  I reset my root password, ran
install_mysql_db etc.

It doesn't work. It won't let me in, I keep getting a ERROR 405 access denied.  I've
read, searched and prayed over all the documentation, THERE IS NO ERROR 405!  What the
hell is it?  When I go to the access denied error section of the decumentation it says
run mysql -u root test
and that should show no problem.  Of course it doesn't bother to tell you what to do
if you get ANOTHER error 405 access denied problem after running the test.

I have succeeded!  My MySQL database is now secure.  Even from me.  IF there is
anymore documentation out there for installing and config please point me to it.
