Hello
I work for an ISP in Guyana, South America and deployed a cobalt CacheRAQ. I
have two questions which users have brought to my attention recently and
wondered whether you have a fix. The installation is installed in
transparent mode.
1. Sites which have an underscore come back with an error which looks
something like this
ERROR
The requested URL could not be retrieved
While trying to retrieve the URL: http://ME_Album.tripod.com:80/
The following error was encountered:
Invalid URL
Some aspect of the requested URL is incorrect. Possible problems:
Missing or incorrect access protocol (should be `http://'' or similar)
Missing hostname
Illegal double-escape in the URL-Path
Illegal character in hostname; underscores are not allowed

The same site can be retrieved at this address (through the raq)
http://members.tripod.com/me_album so this only seems to apply when
underscore appears in the first part of the url. Is this an RFC issues ?
Incidentally, the first address can reached when the raq is bypassed.
2. Reading hotmail in outlook express v5. When hotmail is configured to
rqeuest sychronisation through the RAQ, the response comes back with an
error
Unable to poll for new messages on your HTTP server. Account: 'Hotmail',
Server: 'http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp', Protocol:
HTTPMail, Server Response: 'Bad Request', Port: 0, Secure(SSL): No, Error
Number: 0x800CCC31
Again, this synchronisation is no problem when the RAQ is bypassed. I have
tried specifying the RAQ as a proxy but this has not changed the result.
Please let me know if you have any suggestions or ideas. Has anyone seen
this before ?
Justin
